PART-TIME RESTAURANT PAYROLL CLERK

The Restaurant Payroll Clerk will perform various clerical and data entry duties that include the input of restaurant payroll/personnel information. Primary duties include:

  • Prepare manual checks via emergency payment requests.
  • Prepare replacement checks for lost or destroyed checks and unclaimed fund checks. Process stop payment requests.
  • Research and report various employee wage information on W2 inquiries as requested. Reissue W2’s for prior years.
  • Respond to all field inquires regarding tip issues, taxing requirements, filing status, garnishments, check problems, wage and income verification. Run Earnings Histories as needed and distribute to different agencies such as IRS SSA, banks, etc.
  • Review tax issues. Process all W-4’s and make tax changes. Review all Work State and Resident State tax issues. Edit all PA and NY state city and county tax issues. Review Business Objects Reports for tax issues.
  • Open all mail and distribute. Assist in filing of all payroll documents. Inventory and order all office supplies, along with all payroll check and timecard documents.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • High School diploma required. Associates degree preferred.
  • Five to seven years in payroll strongly preferred, tax experience a definite plus!
  • Background in Microsoft Office, Excel and Word required.

WORK HOURS: 31.50 HOURS PER WEEK
MONDAY 8:30 am0-4:30 pm & TUESDAY–FRIDAY 8:00 am-2:00 pm

COMPENSATION & HRIS SPECIALIST/MANAGER

The Compensation & HRIS Specialist/Manager is responsible for administration of various compensation programs, including salary administration and analysis, the performance appraisal and merit increase programs, salary budgets, and the job description process.

Participate in various compensation surveys throughout the year. Contribute to the administration of the Annual Incentive Plan and various Field bonus plans including the design and communication processes as well as ensuring the accuracy of payments. Participate in the maintenance of HRIS data to ensure its integrity. Responsible for running various headcount/variance, turnover reports on a monthly basis for presentation to top management, as well as various HRIS reports on an ad hoc basis for supervisors, department heads and officers as requested. Involvement in the research and development of new systems and processes (i.e., Employee and Manager Self-Service, Success Factors) that will drive the Human Resources department toward a paperless means of sharing information. Responsible for the administration of systems once implemented.

Requirements include: Bachelor's degree in Business, 5 - 7 years compensation/payroll experience, proficiency with PC (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, FoxPro, Lawson HR/Payroll, Oracle Browser, Business Objects), Related experience on computerized compensation system preferred, and have excellent oral and written communications skills. WORKSITE WELLNESS COORDINATOR

The Worksite Wellness Coordinator will create and implement healthy incentive programs, administer and coordinate monthly health screenings, memberships and fitness awards. Give fitness assessments and develop/oversee exercise programs for individual members. Create and teach exercise classes for people of various fitness levels. Schedule and train aerobic instructors and other fitness center personnel. The coordinator will direct and educate employees into future fitness members on improving their lives by motivating them with a caring environment and conducting yearly evaluations, fitness testings for future employees, counseling, coordinate with vendors and service people, maintain membership tracking and the wellness/fitness resource center.

Requirements include: One to two years experience in the design and adminstration of wellness and fitness programs in a corporate environment. DIRECTOR OF TRAINING

The Director of Training is responsible for directing others in the implementation and deployment of a variety of company initiatives. Our candidate will link closely with Regional Directors, Franchisees, and others in the improvement of all systems and procedures, direct Regional Training Managers in a direct line reporting structure (hiring, training and supervision), provide training of programs and materials in support of Franchisee, District Manager and General Manager and Corporate District Management development, lead and support the training and development of field management, support Operations Management in Building sales and profitability - such as Human Capital planning to ensure adequate staffing levels at the Restaurants, Leading the development of strategic training initiatives to reduce turnover, and building capability and capacity of all field and restaurant level management, Participating in setting/fulfilling each Regional Director's annual people plan, leading and developing Department Strategic initiatives and providing performance consulting services to all regions and franchisees, project Management: duties include Liaison Technical Training (IT) and Computer Training.

Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in a related field. A Masters Degree is preferred within Organizational Development, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Human Resource Management or other related field. Four to five years as a Training Manager or Director. Experience in the restaurant or food service industry. Experience with e-learning design. Candidate must have a progressive supervisory/management history, excellent communication and presentation skills with an outgoing personality who are outside the box thinkers. 40% travel is required with some overnights.
