                            Friendly’s Names Dan Jordan Vice President of Purchasing

 

WILBRAHAM, Mass. (February 1, 2010) – Friendly Ice Cream Corporation has named Dan Jordan to the position of Vice President of Purchasing effective January 1, 2010.  In this role, Mr. Jordan is responsible for the company’s purchasing and material planning functions.

 

In November 2008, Mr. Jordan assumed responsibility for the purchasing and material planning functions as Senior Director of Purchasing.  Previously, he was Director, Financial Planning and Analysis responsible for providing financial support to the Company’s Foodservice Division. 

 

“Over the past year, Dan has continued to make significant contributions within the Purchasing Department.  He has demonstrated his strong leadership by assimilating quickly into this department.  Dan continues to display excellent judgment and business acumen while building strong relationships with vendors, franchise partners, and internal departments,” said John Bowie, Senior Vice President, Restaurant Operations.

 

Mr. Jordan is a Certified Public Accountant who earned a Masters in Business Administration degree from Western New England College and a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from the University of Massachusetts.
