Friendly's Statement Regarding FDA Salmonella Investigation

We are aware of the FDA's investigation into the source of a recent Salmonella outbreak. We understand at this time that the FDA has traced a source of contamination to a plant owned by Peanut Corporation of America (PCA) located in Georgia. The King Nut peanut butter company is also involved because it distributes PCA's products.

Given the information we have at this time, Friendly's does not use any peanut butter products supplied by King Nut or PCA in its manufactured ice cream or toppings.

The health and safety of our customers is always our highest priority. Please be assured that Friendly\'s will continue to monitor this situation very closely through federal and state health officials to remain updated on all relevant information in the coming days.
