FRIENDLY'S OPENS RESTAURANT IN NORTH HAVEN, CONNECTICUT

New restaurant serves delicious burgers, melts and ice cream creations

Wilbraham, MA (February 21, 2006) - Friendly's Restaurants opened a new restaurant in North Haven, Connecticut located at 140 Universal Drive. The restaurant opened on Thursday, February 16, 2006.

The new restaurant has an ice cream theme, including "Mocha" booths and "Chocolate and Vanilla" tile. The restaurant also features a counter area. Guests at the North Haven Friendly's can enjoy some old-time Friendly's favorites like Big Beefs and Fribbles or try one of the featured entrees - Southwest BBQ Steak or Honey BBQ Chicken Basket. To top off their meal, guests can also indulge in one of our delicious ice cream creations.

"The new décor in our restaurants is very warm and inviting. Our goal is to create an atmosphere where our guests can recall favorite memories and create new ones. We want them to feel comfortable while they are enjoying our delicious food and ice cream treats," said Pete Bell, Vice President, Marketing.

The 4,000 square foot restaurant has 158 seats. The hours of operation are 7:00 am to 11:00 pm Sunday through Thursday and 7:00 am to 12:00 am Friday and Saturday. The restaurant employs approximately 110 full and part-time people. Heather Richard, an 18-year veteran of the restaurant industry and a six-year Friendly's employee, manages the restaurant.
