FRIENDLY'S WARMS UP WINTER WITH SUPERMENT-DOWN

WILBRAHAM, Mass (March 1, 2005) - Friendly's has introduced a new limited time SuperMelt-Down promotion that offers a delicious way to warm up winter. From now through May 1st, guests can come to any Friendly's and indulge in one of three special SuperMelts, each offering the kind of mouthwatering taste that has made Friendly's SuperMelts famous.

Back by popular demand is the Philly Steak 'n Cheddar SuperMelt, made with tender, thinly sliced steak, sautéed onions and green peppers, and warm cheddar cheese sauce, all piled high on grilled sourdough bread.

Making its delicious debut is the Honey BBQ Chicken SuperMelt, featuring golden strips of chicken breast tossed in honey BBQ sauce with melted cheddar cheese, crisp bacon and cool ranch dressing on grilled sourdough bread.

And beef lovers will want to dive into the new Cheesy Colossal Bacon SuperMelt, including a half-pound burger with bacon, warm cheddar cheese sauce and tomato on grilled sourdough bread.

All three featured SuperMelts are served in a basket with a generous helping of crispy golden fries and tangy pickle chips.

A free Happy Ending sundae makes these SuperMelts all the more irresistible. And what chocolate lover wouldn't want a Sundae made with Friendly's new Chewy Gooey Chocolate Brownie ice cream? Available for a limited time only, this super rich treat is chocolate ice cream gone wild, with chewy brownie pieces, chocolate flavored chunks, fudge ribbons, hot fudge and whipped topping.
